Filmmakers Don and Kiki Teague thought they were taking a break from working in TV and film when they moved to Costa Rica in 2022.  But what they discovered there is so horrific, they were compelled to tell the story;  Thousands of endangered howler monkeys are being electrocuted by electrical transformers and transmission lines each year and animal activists have been powerless to stop the deaths.

Animal electrocutions have been a problem in Costa Rica for more than 20 years.  The country has an excellent track record of producing sustainable energy (wind, solar, hydro, etc.) and they have brought electricity to more than 99 percent of the country's population.  But in many cases, the new roads and power lines that lead to new projects in the country cut off howlers from their tree top migration routes.  This documentary will shine the spotlight on a huge problem the Costa Rican government has not addressed properly in decades, and hopefully encourage them to enact meaningful changes.
